    Women and Uncovered Meat

    October 27th 2006 07:36
To suggest that a woman is a piece of uncovered meat is absolutely outlandish, not to mention the way women are being depicted on Youtube. Yes it’s free and it’s an open forum for all of us to see but some sick people out there believe they can use it to openly advertise their criminal acts for the rest of the world. This sort of behaviour is almost expected in countries like America where the media is absolutely crucifying every individual they possibly can but in Australia, who would of thought??

As an Australian I feel extremely ashamed to actually think that we are breeding these criminals in our backyards. I hope the guys that put that particular video on Youtube all get exactly what they deserve!! I’m talking 50 years to life, simply for having the audacity to do it, film it and than sell it. I hope everyone reading this is as angry as I am, for we should all be standing tall against what I call a total lack of respect for women.

To have a respected member of the Islamic community come out and talk about women in the way he did was another lack of respect and a total disregard for a woman’s standing in the community. Australia happens to be one of the places in the world where a woman can stand shoulder to shoulder with a male and not have to worry about religion, prejudice or any other social factors. He is living in a dream world a world that does not exist in this country.

I read the parts of what he said in the paper the day after. Interesting that he didn't mention what ought to happen to the animals in question.

I still find it hard to comprehend that he happens to be a leader of an Islamic group, lived in Australia for about 20 years and still doesn't speak a word of English. He can't even defend him self without the use of an interpreter or an appointed speaker, quite sad really.
